May Meeting

 

First off we are moving the checking account from Wells Fargo to the Stockmans Bank. We keep getting a $3 service charge a month from Wells Fargo and we feel that this is to much for the amount of money in our account so we decided to move to a bank that will not charge at all.

 

Don't forget this Saturday May 20th we are celebrating Astronomy Day at Wal-Mart. Members should try to be there at 11 AM to get things set up and the star party for the public starts at 12 PM and last till 6 PM. We will be setting up out by the road on the grass in the south west corner. If anybody has any raffle tickets that they have not sold yet bring them. If anybody buys a pack of them they will get a discount on a McDonalds Hamburger YaHoo!!! MM GOOD!!!

 

On June 23rd through the 25th John Dobson will be in Lewistown. On the 23rd there will be a private star party with him for club members through out the state only. Then on the 24th he will give a lecture to the public and also another star party that night open to everybody. On Sunday the 25th as far as we know a picnic is planned, all the times and sites are to be determined so we will let you know after next months meeting. Also he will be landing in Great Falls on the 23rd and Bill Rice will be giving him a ride to Lewistown. If anybody from the club can get off work and would like to meet him at the airport that would be great. Once again we will let you know what time he is expected in.

 

From June 28th till July 1st NASA will have an exhibit at the Lewis and Clark Center. The L & C Center would like us to have somebody their everyday from the club so if anybody can help out let us know. Once again we are not sure about the times and we should know more after next months meeting.

 

Also don't forget to mark your calenders for the 4th of July family get together at Harley Park. And on August 12th the club picnic will be held out at my place. If you have missed these events in the past you don't know how much fun you are missing.

 

If anybody doesn't have any plans over Memorial Weekend there will be a club star party at the Monarch Site on the 27th if anybody is interested contact John Thomas or Jim Knutson.

 

And we had 12 members pay their dues at the meeting, so please can you get them sent out or bring them to next months meeting it will be appreciated and alot easier for Jim Krick so he can get them sent off to the AL. Also some members gave an extra $5 or$10 so we can help with the cost of bringing John Dobson to Lewistown. Please send your dues to.
